This policy explains how we handle personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, "GDPR") and the Latvian Personal Data Processing Law.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

• Contact details: name, business email address, telephone number
• Company details: company name, registration number, VAT number, trading and delivery addresses, country
• The content of your enquiry, quotation request or sourcing list
• Correspondence with our sales and operations teams
• Your email address if you subscribe to our stock and price list

Information collected automatically

• IP address, browser type and device information
• Pages visited, time of visit and referring website
• Cookie data, where you have consented to non-essential cookies

We do not knowingly collect special category personal data, and we do not collect data from children. This is a business-to-business website.

3. Why we process it, and on what legal basis

• To respond to enquiries and provide quotations — necessary for steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To perform a contract of sale — order processing, delivery, invoicing and support (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To verify business customers, including checking company registration and VAT numbers against public registers and VIES — our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and confirming we supply businesses only (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To comply with legal obligations, including accounting, tax, customs, export control and sanctions screening requirements (Art. 6(1)(c)).
• To send our stock and price list where you have subscribed — your consent, withdrawable at any time (Art. 6(1)(a)).
• To operate and improve this website, including analytics where you have accepted optional cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) for non-essential cookies; Art. 6(1)(f) for essential site operation).

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only where necessary, with:

• Freight and logistics partners — to deliver your order and prepare customs documentation
• Payment providers and our bank — to process payments
• Accountants and auditors — to meet statutory accounting obligations
• Our hosting and IT providers — who process data on our behalf under written data processing agreements
• Public authorities — where we are legally required to disclose, including tax, customs and export control authorities

5. International transfers

Your data is primarily stored and processed within the European Economic Area. Where we ship goods to, or work with suppliers in, countries outside the EEA, limited contact and delivery data may be transferred there. Such transfers are made under an adequacy decision of the European Commission, or under Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate supplementary safeguards.

6. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a contract: 24 months from last contact
• Customer and transaction records: 5 years from the end of the financial year, as required by Latvian accounting legislation, and 10 years where required for tax or customs purposes
• Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe
• Website analytics: up to 14 months

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Have your data erased, where no legal retention obligation applies
• Restrict or object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest
• Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija), Elijas iela 17, Rīga, LV-1050, or with the supervisory authority in your own EU member state.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies required for the site to function. These do not require consent.

We also use optional analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. These are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can decline without any loss of functionality, and you can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Security

This website is served over HTTPS. We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls, encryption in transit, and restricting access to personal data to staff who need it.
